What is SAP FICO?
SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) is a core SAP ERP module designed to manage an organization’s financial transactions and cost control. Accounts Payable handles vendor payments and liabilities, Accounts Receivable manages customer billing and incoming payments, and Controlling (CO) supports internal cost management, budgeting, and profitability analysis. SAP FICO is tightly integrated with other SAP modules: • FI–MM: Financial postings for procurement and inventory • FI–SD: Revenue accounting and customer receivables from sales • FI–PP: Production cost tracking and variance postings
